Maintenance Blueprint is a technical reference on industrial maintenance, with a mining focus: wear protection, corrosion control, specification standards, lubrication and reliability.

Why this site exists

Most technical content in this field is written by manufacturers, about their own range. It is often accurate, and always incomplete — a data sheet will tell you what a product does well, never where it stops working. This site fills that gap: the standards behind the specification, the numbers behind the data sheet, and the calculations you would otherwise redo on the back of an envelope.

The rule that governs everything here

No figure is published without a public, linked and dated source — a standard, a manufacturer data sheet, or a calculation with its assumptions shown. No client project, no case study, no anonymous testimonial. Where a scenario is described, it is presented as a typical industrial situation and labelled as such.

Who it is written for

Reliability engineers, maintenance superintendents, planners and industrial buyers — people who have to write or read a specification and be right about it.

Checking for yourself

The editorial methodology sets out how sources are selected, how comparisons are built, how conflicts of interest are handled, and who owns this site. Substantive corrections are logged publicly.
